10 Questions: Garret Miller

Why does he stand in the woods?
Does the contradiction between clothing and setting mean something?
Does this image represent a memory?; for the photographer or subject?
Does one feel more intimate to the artist because of his allowing us access to his private
world through this image?
Is there emotional impact to the viewer?
Is there a tension between two realities going on here?
Do these two realities ask their own questions?
Do they meld, and is it only my perception of their perceived differences?
Was the posing of the photograph important to the subject and or artist?
Was it that concept to show their supposed appreciation for the landscape, or is there a
marked separation between subject/artist and landscape?
