Today I would like to share a very insightful talk on contemporary photography a bit long but definitely worth watching. With Lyle Rexer, Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs, Adam Jeppesen and Caroline von Courten.
“For many photographers and artists, the medium of photography is not only an end product but also the starting material for new approaches and works. Their uninhibited, experimental approach, the way they do reflect and combine different image-making processes opens up a new scope for ways of seeing that transcends the boundary between the traditional and the technical image. During this talk, artists and art historians will examine the new forms of expression that result from such a playful approach to the medium, calling into question many of the categories that have previously defined our understanding of photographic and art history.“
